This is the last taste ya get of the forthcoming Gutter Gods LP 'Innersense' before its unleashed in its pure vinyl form. As she normally goes, Yanks and Euro's will get them still warm from the plant through Video Disease and Hardware Records respectively in mid-late December. 'Straylian's will have to wait til they cross the South Atlantic around early January. The track we've chosen for YOU today is titled 'Chosen Few'; the Gutter Gods theme song if you will. Our most ambitious from the rekkid, she displays the more playful and nurturing side of the GG's. Sometimes ya just wanna groove to the beat, grab ya gal by the hips and clap your hands in unison to the snare. The feelgood track of the Summer....
Finally back on the market after an early withdrawal due to a ssslow initial duplication. 6 sometimes beautiful, most times ugly/dull live shits from a memorably nasty gig in the Grace Darling Basement/Pool Room. ONLY for sale online through Distort and maybe gigs. 40 copies.
The fest was HELL, if you missed it you're a baby. Anyone with photos/footage please email through to cooldeathrecords AT gmail DOT com.

GUTTER GODS 'INNERSENSE' LP has been a headache but she's gunna look great. Reflective silver covers (ala Wheels of Fire), and a colour zine insert from Allan Cowie. Might be out for tour but more realistically very early 2014.
(Imagine all the white space as reflective silver)
DRIBBLE recorded last week. Expect a three track 7" early 2014 followed by an LP. RE: Live at Grace Darling cassettes - We fucked up big-time and dubbed them all at a slower speed, only realising after 'announcing' the release. Anyone who purchased from DISTORT, please sit tight, we are rectifying this sitch right now.
VELVET WHIP are writing/rehearsing for two new cassette's to be released in the new year also.
LEATHER LICKERS (who smashed it at Maggot Fest) will be recording a 5-track demo before the years out.
The bigcartel will be updated soon with a coupla distro items and the very last copies of previous COOL DEATH releases.
An EXCELLENT live recording of Cool Death's golden boys Velvet Whip has just been put online by Weirdo With A Dictaphone. Sounding clearer than the demo cassette in parts, this recording shows the savagery the Whip propels in the live arena. When the sax comes out, ya get a real feel for their Hawkwind/psychedelic tendencies, a real treat. Get it below.
CDooFOUR: DRIBBLE - 'LIVE IN THE FLESH' cassette to be unleashed imminently. Recorded at the Grace Darling Hotel displaying Dribble at their most offensive. Sicks original hits on the A-side and a 13 minute-derailing of Velvet Underground's opus 'Sister Ray' on the B. 50 copies only. Listen to a jammed version of 'Girl Of My Dreams' below which'll also be featured on an upcoming studio 7inch.
CDooFIVE: LEATHER LICKERS - 'LICK THE GLOVE' cassette to be rekkorded soon. Members of Gutter Gods and Soma Coma emulating the shit sounds of Cleveland with a maniacal sounding vocalist making his first foray in the art of throat shredding. Expect it November.
CDooSIX: GUTTER GODS - 'INNERSENSE' LP is at the plant, balls crossed for release before 2014 hits.
Pre-sale tickets for MAGGOTFEST IV are available on OZTIX. Friday night here, Saturday night here.
An East-Coast tour of Australia is being organised for Gutter Gods and Dribble right over New Years. Sydney/Byron Bay/Brisbane, more details soon.
DRIBBLE gigging this on Saturday night, 9.45 slot...
And don't be a bludger and make sure you cop the PUBLIC EXECUTION LP here. Essential Brisbane hardcore-punk from 1983.
New in the distro. Remember when Richmond Virginia was THE place to find the best modern NO BULLSHIT USHC? Well, I'm pleased to report the great North/South divider city is back on track. This cassette rokks. Buy it HERE.
"Six tracks of pummeling hardcore punk from these Richmond, VA numbskulls. Brash and aggressive stuff in the vein of old classics like NOTA / POISON IDEA or maybe REPOS as a modern point of reference. Ugly, self-loathing vocals and a loud, punchy recording mastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air make this thing really kick. In other words, hardcore punk devoid of gimmicks or generic trappings. CRETINS are one to watch out for, that’s for sure."
The final mixes for Gutter Gods forthcoming LP 'Innersense' are in. We're chuffed with the work Mikey Young has gone and dun with the mastering. Off to the plant in the next two weeks, should have her by late 2013. 'Ave a listen to rekkid opener 'Virtual Reality' below.
DRIBBLE are NOT playing the Gaso tomorrow night, the flyer was rubbish and we don't subscribe to poor visual aesthetic. We are still appearing at the Trades Hall in Carlton Saturday night for Constant Mongrel's 'Heavy Breathing' LP launch along with UV Race and Miss Destiny. Ten buxx, doors eight. Recording 3-4 hits for a 7" in the next month, out in Summer?
Velvet Whip's 'Warm & Tough' CS is sold out from us. There'll be a grip to sell at abovementioned gig and that's it. Distro's currently holding; Helta Skelta in Perth, Distort (& Missing Link soon) in Melbourne, Repressed and Disinfect in Sydney, Eternal Soundcheck and Sick Rick in Brisbane. For the U$A, Feel It and Video Disease's copies have been mailed and should be available soon. Melbourne launch shows being organised for October. Cruise the Joy Ride.
Maggot Fest is steaming along, more great bands being added next week. Looks like there'll also be a Sunday arvo North Melbourne Town Hall gig as well. We tried to get ROSE TATTOO but they have shown no interest, maybe next year.
Gutter Gods 'Innersense' LP is still a ways away. Next gig is DrainRave#2 with Sick People, Sewercide and Dribble on September 21st.
The first release made by a band outside of the immediate Cool Death family and she's a hell burner, shining bright in the darkness... Six (6) tracks from the outside looking into the inside looking out. Self doubt, intelligence, paranoia, urban problems, claustrophobia, ugliness, animosity, and power. Velvet Whip execute with excellence. A real 2013 for 3013 time-capsule recording. A culmination of 30+ years of extreme and extremely amplified music channelling itself against that futile, foolish feeling that our life and experiences are constantly filtered through electronic signals, 0's and 1's. The sound of a computer chip being smoked through a bong. Die kruezin' or drop dead is the ultimatum here. For best results: Kill the lights, turn her up loud as she goes and repeat as necessary (if you dare?) Save your souls with rock and roll. Proud as sin to have our name attached this piece of plastic.
First run of 150 black cassettes available for order now through Cool Death's cool electronic shop. As for peddling this smut; the usual suspects will have this new psychedelic product to push within Australia, and both Video Disease & Feel It Records have been COOL enuf to help us out with USA distribution again. (The yanks will have to keep their junk in their pants for another coupla weeks 'til they're available in the land of the brave or home of the free or whatever.)
